Architect Milan and whole Italy, local Architect Expo 2015 Milan

Running a project in Italy for the first time?

To make sure things go smoothly, here’s a simple rule to remember: whether you’re planning to renovate a house, an office or a shop, build up or pull down a wall, buy a new house or build up a whole new construction... you want to have an architect that is licensed in our country.

Are you thinking about remodeling your house or commercial property, extending, or converting your loft or basement? We can maximise potential, draw plans, secure planning permission and undertake building regulations applications. We're ready to assist you in your activities in Italy, and support you in any project you wish to develop. We believe that our expertise and years of experience will make you breeze through Italian legal and bureaucratic procedures.

There's more to architecture than the glossy white boxes you see in magazines. Our studio specialising in domestic and commercial housing, delights in improving peoples' lives; we specialise in turning houses into homes. We can provide a full service, exploring your expectations, agreeing the brief and design, gaining permissions and overseeing construction to completion. Alternatively we offer specific elements such as feasibility studies, planning and building regulations applications, interior design, surveys and drawings. If you think we can help you, please get in touch. Our initial consultation is usually free.

Our studio mainly operates in the following sectors:

Planning permission Building Works;
Property registration documentation;
Change of use;
Heritage office documentation;
City administration assistance;
Adverts and signs (as the front sign) authorization at Advertising Office;
Occupation of public areas;
Real Estate consultant;
Store locators.

Small works excluded, every worker on a building site must be a part of a company licensed for the works being done. All the technical part such as wiring, heating, gas system must be certificated according to Italian rules. Materials that must have a CE marking (European Conformity) range from fire protection and energy saving to nontoxic materials etc. Inspections on working sites are regular, and penalties are severe. Moreover, in case of injuries, the owner and the leaseholder of the building (CEO, in case of companies), can be brought to court, together with the architect and site manager. These are just some extreme cases, but it is always better to not underestimate certain aspects.

Dealing with Italian administration system can be no picnic sometimes. Thanks to our collaboration with engineers, business consultants, lawyers and other professionals we manage to reach our goals smoothly and successfully.

Our architecture studio is based in Milan, and we have partners in Tuscany, Sardinia and Rome. Since we started our experience we dealt with a worldwide point of view. Click here to find out more on our chief.

We put much value on multicultural collaboration. Each new project we start with foreigners is for us an opportunity to promote both our ideas and our country.

Our studio can develop projects in several languages. Although we consider English the main international tool, we had clients in Russia, Baltic States, Azerbaijan as well. We often collaborate with other Italian architects and studios that plan to run projects abroad. We also have experience of giving “first aid” to foreign architects when dealing with Italian legal and bureaucratic system.
